Burgas WMF World Championship 2008
1. Date: 24 -31 March 2008 - Burgas, Bulgaria, Sport Hall “MLADOST”
The city of Bourgas is the second-largest city on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. It is also the fourth-largest by population in the country, after Sofia, Varna and Plovdiv. It is the capital of Burgas Province and an industrial and tourist center,, 400 km. situated south-east from the capital Sofia.Burgas International Airport is a connecting point to major Black Sea resorts in Bulgaria such as Sunny Beach, Nesebar.The transport access to Bourgas is via plane, first class national road and via rail way.
2. Venue: “AQUA” Hotel, Burgas, Bulgaria
3. Entries:
- Entry by Name and Flight and Hotel information must reach to organizing committee by February 24, 2008
- Each Federation can send 1 boxer in each class.
4. Events
Competition will consist of the following events:
- 1) AMATEUR MUAYTHAI COMPETITIONS
All Weight categories as per WMF Rules in both Male and Female Senior, Junior & Cadet.
*** You have to bring ONE REFEREE with you for every 1 - 9 participants ***
- 2) AEROBIC MUAYTHAI
- a) Under 15 years age, Male and Female
- b) Over 15 years and less than 21 years age, Male and Female.
- c) Over 21 years age, Male and Female
There will be 3 participants simultaneously performing Aerobic Muaythai in the ring from each age group. There are no weight categories in this event. Each country will have to send a team of 3 persons in each This event is open to both males and females, in separate categories. This is not a mixed event. This event will have Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for each age group category for both males and females.
5. COACHING COURSE.
The WMF has arranged for a detailed coaching course for persons conducting coaching in amateur Muaythai. It has been observed that a mere 2 days coaching course is not sufficient to effectively guide the persons interested in conducting proper coaching programs in the art of amateur Muaythai. Very often there is a big confusion regarding kick boxing and Muaythai. The WMF has arranged for experts in the art of amateur muaythai to conduct the DETAILED COACHING COURSE.
6. REFEREES AND JUDGES CAMP AND SEMINAR.
The WMF has arranged for a Referees and Judges Camp and Seminar. The WMF will be renewing the licenses and issuing fresh licenses for referees after the seminar and camp. The existing referees of WMF will be required to brush up their knowledge.
The new license or renewal of old license is included in the above fee. All existing referees are required to renew their license for the current year.
