Theresa Carter is new on the scene who recently won the silver medal at 57 kilograms at the Bangkok World Championships 2006. She was set to fight on the last Promotion in June only to be disappointed when Queenslandian Robyn Lewis pulled out at the very last minute. Carter's specialty is her knees which cause major damage when given the chance. In the other corner will stand Thailand's threat to our rising star-Ponsanan. Ponsanan is a compact, solidly built fighter who kicks harder than some young men. She has fought all aound Thailand and has fought Japanese opponents. She poses a large threat to Carter if she chooses to go to work on Carter's long legs. With Theresa Carter now under the careful guidance of Phon Martdee and training alongside World Champion Stephynee Bouquet; she will be sure to impress.
The newly crowned State champion Jarrett Black Magic2 Lewis will also be on the bill. Magic Lewis is known for his skill that matches no other, and has some of the most exciting agility, intelligence and potential ever seen in a rising star. Two of Western Australia's hottest rising stars will clash before going any further when David Ziarno goes to war with Jordan Richards for the Super Light Weight West Australian State title. Yes; this was set for the last promotion in June but failed to go ahead due to Ziarno being unwell. This time lets say it is definite to happen... Ziarno is known for his sharp knees and kamikaze style urges to throw elbows. Richards is known for his sharp and very fast hand combos with a stamina level that matches that of a race horse. Richards can match Ziarno no problems with elbows as he has caused some huge upsets before. Both these fighters throw no caution to the wind when it comes to the moment and go all out to get what they want. A full dose of eye peeling Muay Thai with elbows and knees that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. Who will wear the belt proud at the final bell?

He resides at Bangkok's Kaewsamrit Muay Thai Gym, training alongside the world famous and most feared Muay Thai puncher Anuwat Kaewsamrit. On top of that; the boy has currently been listed at number 10 of the Ratchadamern Stadium rankings in the Super-featherweight division alongside Thailand's premier big names Sanchai Sor Kingstar, Orono Majesticgym, Khem Sor Ploenchit, Bovy Sor Udomsorn. -Yep, The hottest division in Thailand at present.
At the other end of the table; Thailand's Pinpetch Sor. Thodsapol is still in the hot seat and ready to carve up on Perth soil... He is working towards peak strength and looks unstoppable. Pinpetch resides at Jar Tui's Saengmorakot Gym in Bangkok, Thailand and was once Thailand's hottest TV fighters reguarly featured on many nationally televised Muay Thai supershows. Pinpetch is also from the same stable as Marwin Nakorntongparkview who was sent to snuff out the flame of Queensland's Ben Pixie Burton for the World Title at Challenge Stadium back in 2004.
These two combatants are from the two most rival camps in Thailand, going back to 2004 when it was Saengmorakot's Pinsiam Sor. Amnuaysirichok in the running up against Kaewsamrit's Anuwat Kaewsamrit to win Thailand's nationwide prestigious 'Most Oustanding Fighter of the Year Award'... TAG TEAM MUAY THAI. (3X2)
In an opening presentation for the crowd, it was a 3 on 1 tag team Muay Thai match-up with Phon's Gym's Emily Nagington (12-35kg), Georgia Sherwood (11-35kg), Eidahn Eliash (12-35kg) going in against Chinese Boxing's Gabby Kelly (14-44kg). It was deemed to be a hard task for Gabby and maybe a little strenuous not having any team mates to help her out! With Emily using some great skill and evasion, Georgia dared to clash with long body kicks and big right hands, Eidahn the only boy in the team showed some great body rips and kicks. The bigger Gabby withstood the 3 rounds and took the 3 on right to the end. The bout opened the card with a new and innovative idea that Perth has rarely seen before; Congratulations to the future Muay Thai Stars for your great courage and participation!
BAHN SILACHAI (THAILAND) v SEAN HATMAN (AUSTRALIA) 25KG
Upon entering the ring, each little warrior came out on their trainer's shoulders sporting their nation's flag, while the crowd sat shocked at the size of each fighter...
In the opening round Thailand's Silachai came out firing with multiple perfectly timed two-levelled jumping kicks that Sean wore on the forearms and the ribs. Hatman kept barging forward hoping that Silachai would soon falter in which the second round he did, where Hatman went hell for leather throwing big hands that caught Silachai in the corner. Although when Silachai saw Hatman's game plan he then changed and opted to move out sideways and counter with some crisp left step-up knees and pin point accurate push kicks that began to cause some frustration for Hatman. In the last round Hatman was told to give his Thai opponent everything, and at the referee's signal, that is what he did, coming out with left, right hand bombs and kicks that seemed to daze Silachai. Silachai's corner then called for more trademark jumping kicks and within seconds was once again airborne and kicking left and right. Sean battled the Thai until the final bell and landed some sharp punches that caused Silachai to backpedal, and then the final bell sounded to end a very action-packed bout. The fight decision was announced and both hands were raised in a draw in a very entertaining pocket-dynamo battle that had the crowd roaring with every weapon landed. The two were spectacular and the bout itself may well have been the bout of the night!
MALLISA NORTON v LIEN SEE LEONG (55kg)
Odine's Mixed Martial Arts" Mallisa Norton (fifth fight) came straight into this fight against Lien See Leong (debut) from Phon's Gym; with some huge hands and kicks that sent Leong backwards. Lien See then tried to counter with hands and some kicks of her own, only to be caught on the jaw and counted by the referee. Lien See recovered and was saved by the bell to make it through to the second round, which saw her mix it up with grappling but once again, Norton broke free and managed to land some big shots that seemed like Leong could no longer take. It was then the referee's obligation to step in and stop the fight midway through round two. Mallisa Norton the winner by 2nd round stoppage.
DEAN KYRON v JON DOWDING (65kg)
Fight Club's Dean Kyron stepped up to his fourth bout to face Phon's Gym's Jon Dowding who was to have the second bout of his career. The bout started with Kyron testing Dowding's guard with some large hands and low kicks, Dowding went high with some big left kicks that landed flush on the forearm of Kyron. In the second round it was Dowding who went in for the kill with some big swing knees when in the clinch that seemed to slow Kyron, being unable to do anything, Kyron then opted to hammering Dowing's legs with sharp, short knees and then picking him up and dumping him. With some illegal throws being put in play, the referee should have been giving Kyron some warnings. In round three, Jon came out with just one thing in mind and that was to kick, kick and kick and that was what he did smashing away at Kyron's upper body, Kyron looked to be out of gas and Jon kept doing his thing. At the end of the bout, Jon Dowding was declared winner by judges' decision.

Greef replied to his challenge and showed him some knees of his own. Throughout the rounds Greef threw some rare left kicks that caught Hogan every time. Greef remained on top of the bout until midway through the fourth round when Hogan found a weak spot on Greef, going to work with knees on Greef's right side. With Greef showing pain; he soldiered on until the fifth round where he was very protective of his injury and managed to hold on and steal the bout from Hogan being announced the winner after 5 tough rounds. AUSTRALIA v THAILAND (5X2)
THERESA CARTER (Cannington K/B & Martial Arts Centre)
v

This eagerly anticipated bout saw Australia's newest female rising star Theresa Carter step in for her ninth bout against Thailand's compact built, hard headed Ponsannan who was to have her sixteenth bout. In the opening rounds, Carter remained weary of her Thai opponent using the ring well to circle her opponent and find small openings. Ponsannan, the shorter of the two, began hammering Carter's legs with some well timed low kicks. In the second and third rounds, Carter saw that she could use her long reach and threw some sharp punches that landed everytime on the face of Ponsannan that sent her head back every time. She also threw some well timed knees that Ponsannan absorbed. With the crowd getting behind Carter, they roared every time Carter landed the big hand & knee bombs. Ponsannan copped a few push kicks and kicks high towards the end of the bout but never went down; fighting back with some kicks and punches of her own. At the end of the fight, Carter's hand was raised, declared the winner. Although Ponsannan lost, she was acknowledged by the crowd for her huge heart, great jaw and the will to never give up and put on a great show. Theresa Carter the winner by judges" decision.

In the fourth round Richards began to get on top with a few quick counter shots and Ziarno missing with a few shots. The end of round 3 saw Richards clip Ziarno with an elbow that caused a small lump to swell up under David's left eye. In round 4 and 5 David kept pushing forward; throwing some good kicks, hands and elbows but Richards moved well replying with a few punches and more jumping elbows and knees that didn't always land but looked spectacular. At the final bell, the score cards were tallied and the decision was awarded to Richards, the brand new state champion. Jordan Richards winner and new champion by judges' decision.

PINPETCH SOR. THODSAPON (Saengmorakot Gym, Bangkok)
v
RONNI "PINDBEN" NEEGAARD (Rompo Gym, Bangkok) (65 KG)

With Ronni having the severe height advantage; Pinpetch opened the fight game with some solid cracking low kicks and went downstairs with some big hands to the bread basket. Midway through the round both exchanged left and right kicks, and Ronni managed to land some big right hands when Pinpetch caught his push kick. Round four opened with Ronni delivering a flash push kick to Pinpetch's face, following up with a sharp right hand that sent Pinpetch back onto the canvas only to bounce back up and continue. The two continued exchanging kicks and Ronni managed to clip the Thai with a few sharp right hands; Ronni then threw two high kicks that Pinpetch ducked under and let float over his head. In the final round, the Dane tried to work his knees only to be blocked by the Thai. With Pinpetch managing to catch another leg of Ronni's he threw him off balance thundering through with a knee on the way down, The Dane was quick back on his feet.
