In the second round the ring lit up as Bonner more controlled and thinking about his combinations, threw left right punches with kicks to the body.  He then employed flying knees on his opponent on the ropes, the crowd loving it.

In the third round, Bonner was instructed to grab and knee fast. He dropped his opponent in the 3rd round with a hand combo then another flying knee to the body and scored another 8 count. Steve also landed a good left uppercut elbow and cut his opponent in the 3rd round which put the Chinese crowd into a fever.

Towards the end of the 4th round he landed some more good punches followed by another flying knee to the mid section which dropped him and finished him off and the ref stopped the fight.

Steve crowned the new World Champion and an instant hero as fans flocked to the ring for autographs and photograph opportunities, with trainer Phon Martdee ecstatic with the result. “Steve is the next big thing in Australia; I think he can take on the best and come out best; you will soon see more of the big man Steve Bonner”.
